Study programmes of the Italian Bandoneόn Academy follow a comprehensive and structured course, aimed at providing every student with a suitable preparation level, in line with the standards of the European conservatories where this instrument is taught as any other musical subject. Thus, besides the study of bandoneόn as a main subject, proper skills in the relevant theoretical disciplines will also be required (solfège, harmony, etc.).

The curriculum is divided in two sections: the Lower Course and the Upper Course. Both sections are, in turn, subdivided in different levels, all certified by a mandatory proficiency exam.
